Villa – Audio Visual and Home Automation System

Astral is recognised as a market leader when it comes to Audio Visual and Home Automation Systems. This is one of the many projects delivered by Astral. Our system designers work closely with clients, designers and architects to deliver bespoke systems that facilitate the implementation of technology without intruding on or compromising the design and architecture of the house.

An A/V system for a small chill-out room

The brief from the client was an Audio and Projection system for a chill out/relaxing room with limited space due to the size of the room and importantly no clutter.

We opted for an Adeo motorised cassette type ceiling projector screen which is hidden away above the soffit when not in use. The screen is in widescreen format and measures 78 inches in diagonal.

A WXGA Epson short throw projector was ceiling mounted using a low profile bracket due to the limited space in the room. The projector is placed only 81cm away from the screen, but still projects an image measuring 78-inches diagonally.

The sound system includes two in ceiling mount Bowers and Wilkins 6 inch speakers, coupled with an ultra-compact stereo network amplifier with built-in Bluetooth and WiFi for wireless control from phones and tablets.

Villa – Home Cinema System

Home cinema is always a particularly rewarding project to deliver especially when the cinema room is a dedicated entertainment area.

In this case we used an Adeo 135″ fixed frame projection screen in 16:9 format and a ceiling mount 4k UHD projector.

Bowers & Wilkins was the chosen brand for speakers. The fronts are the 600 series floor standers accompanied by the HTM6 centre channel speaker, while the rear and effect speakers are the CWM series in ceiling speakers custom sprayed in black. The speaker system is finished off by the active ASW610 subwoofer.

This 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos system is powered by the Denon AVRX3600H surround network amplifier.
