EISA LOUDSPEAKER SERIES 2023-2024
Technologies developed for KEF’s higher-end loudspeakers, including the latest- generation Uni-Q driver with Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT), inform the design and performance of its stunning R Series. A seven-model range comprising floorstander, standmount, centre and Dolby Atmos-enabled surround options, it’s suited to both home theatre and hi-fi enthusiasts alike. Whether used for music or movies, across the speakers there’s a dynamic, detailed and thrillingly natural sound combining controlled, extended lows with open, wide-reaching highs. And the various colour options, including special editions for the R3 standmount and R7 tower, will have these gorgeous-looking cabinets fitting right in.
Uni-Q
KEF pioneered the first UNI-Q driver back in the 90s with the launch of the first Q series. The principle of the UNI-Q driver is very simple. By placing the HF unit in the acoustic centre of the midrange driver, a perfect single point of source is created.
This technology has brought KEF multiple awards and accolades through the years. KEF has relentlessly continued to innovate and further develop this technology by introducing new materials and perfecting the design. We can now experience the 12th generation
Uni-Q on the R series range.
BEAUTIFUL BY DESIGN
Great design is timeless. KEF’s product designers seek to create deceptively simple, elegant loudspeakers. But form follows function. So whilst R Series is driven by acoustics, all visible engineering fixings have been artfully concealed so all the listener sees is a beautiful and simple exterior. Designed to be at home in either traditional or modern interiors, the R Series comes in a choice of sleek white or black gloss finishes or a classic walnut wood veneer. KEF’s tone-on-tone approach to design creates a focused colour pallete to ensure R Series blends with interiors seamlessly.
A compact 3 way floorstanding Speaker
KEF engineers do not believe in compromise, the R5 floorstander is compact and elegant yet it delivers music and movies with ease. The svelte R5 contains a Uni-Q with 125mm (5in.) midrange driver and 25mm (1 in.) aluminium dome tweeter for incredible detail while twin 130mm (5.25in) hybrid aluminium bass units manage the bass.
