P5 Perfect Picture Engine is an advanced image processing technology that enhances the overall picture quality of Philips televisions. While today’s TVs are mostly 4K (Ultra HD), the movies / programmes we watch are rarely received in 4K. Philips P5 Perfect Picture Engine “fills in the missing information”. A 4k TV has 3840 x 2160 pixels or 7,516,800 pixels. While some shows on Netflix, Amazon Prime are 4K, most media watched on TV is (AT BEST) Full HD ( 1920 X 1080 = 2,073,600 pixels). Philips P5 Perfect picture engine does a great job at filling the missing information and therefore upscaling the lower resolution sources to 4K.
One of the key features of the P5 Perfect Picture Engine is its ability to enhance the colour accuracy of the picture.
